FSU and CU will announce by Aug 15th, 2012 therefore be in BIG12 in 2013. There are ACC schools threatening litigation right now if FSU and CU move quickly so Is and Ts being crossed right now, prior to Big12 Commissioner switch and after playoff vote.

Wasn't you questioning me on every WVU to get out of Big East with payout that was pretty close the whole time

No, I weren't ...

And you'll be able to have one big "I told you so" if there's an announcement by 8/15/12 ...

I saw what you did there. I get a big I told you so, maybe the biggest for all the crap I've gotten. And believe me......... :furious3:

Barron did not really close the door. The saga continues!

Of course, he didn't close the door ... you never want to close the door completely ... but he did, unless he's flat out lying, put the kibosh on anything happening with this in the next several months .... which it would need to for the 2013 season, if I understand correctly.

You do understand that if anyone admits to having discussions before FSU has formally withdrawn both FSU and the B12 open themselves up to lawsuits from the Big 12?

I really find it amazing that the Big 12 commish and school representatives make these statements and everyone believes them. Less than a week before A&M withdrew from the Big 12, everyone was denying it. Less than a week before TCU jumped back into the Big 12, Dodds said they absolutely were not talking to the Big 12.

This is all a smokescreen, and it's been repeated over and over.

Tell me the last time a school came out and denied they were talking to another conference and then DIDN'T move.

Hard to find a lot of stuff from the parties involved a couple of months before the announcements back then so it's pretty difficult to compare the atmosphere at those points in time .... except for aTm. Not sure where you're getting everyone was denying it up to a week before it happened. Here's an article from two weeks before it happened http://msn.foxsports...join-SEC-081311 . Like Joe said that had been building for awhile and most knew what was coming.

You only knew it had been building for a while because some of us were on here talking about it months earlier, just like we are now.

When FSU announces they are "evaluating options" in a few weeks, don't tell us you knew it all along.

Um, no. I know it from doing a Google search and seeing that the Aggies were contemplating leaving a year earlier ...... and then couldn't find anybody denying anything a week before their announcement like you said.

It'll be tough but I'll try ....

I think (Caution: No link provided), that schools are now just as focused in getting into one of the big 4 conferences in order to have any shot at a NC game. This top 4 crap is built around keeping the smaller schools out. SOS within their conferences will be the determining factor.

FSU and the Big 12 have been talking for several months.

WVU and FSU admins and family is very close. Alot has happened but FSU and Big 12 has not directly talked yet, indirectly yes.

Of course. That is the way the game is played. Otherwise FSU and B12 people could not stand at a podium and say they haven't spoken. In reality, they have been negotiating through intermediaries for months.
