Men's Basketball Signs Antun Maricevic

TAMPA, APRIL 17, 2018 – University of South Florida head men's basketball coach Brian Gregory and his staff announced the signing of 6-10, 240-pound center Antun Maricevic (pronounced An-TOON MAH-riss-AH-vich) on Tuesday. Maricevic will be a junior when he begins play in 2018-19 after competing for two seasons in junior college.

"We are very excited to have Antun join our program," Gregory said. "His experience playing at the highest junior college level, coupled with his international experience, will allow him to make an immediate impact on our program. Playing for a terrific coach in Dan Russell at Casper College has helped prepare Antun for the transition to Division I college basketball. His work ethic, basketball IQ and skill level make him a perfect fit for what we are building here at USF."

I like his video. We are definitely getting tougher amd more athletic players.

This guy has some skills in the high and low post. Not sure how well his skill set will translate to D1 ball, but it could bode very well for an "inside-out" game with Collins and Brown on the perimeter.

240 pounds and he never sees the low post in conference.  He'll be ridden out like a rented mule.
