Someone say Subway? Meh. They put a Firehouse Subs next to our Publix.

The Hook & Ladder is awesome.

I like Quizno's but their franchise model was horrendous with 1/4 of the stores operating in the red. I think metro Atlanta has only 1 now.

Quizno's best sub was the Chicken Carbonara.  Hands down.  A solid sub, but like you said slick, their business plan sucked.  There's one in Duluth - a little bit of a drive but may be worth it for the Carbonara.

 

Firehouse is fantastic, but pricey, and their subs have shrunk over the years.  

 

For the money, the best options out there, IMO are Jersey Mikes, Jimmy Johns and Publix (not in that order).

I had a Jimmy Johns sub in Sarasota years ago, not bad if I recall. Probably one of the best sandwiches I ever had doesn't seem to be made anymore, the oven baked ham and cheese at Hungry Howies.

Firehouse...bring your receipt back with a 5 digit number for the survey code and get a free drink...you can do the survey if you want but any 5 digit number will work.
