Did you by chance EVER watch Driskel play?????

Driskel sucked in the SEC, that doesn't mean he will suck in the AAC, or CUSA. Gunner Kiel, the #1 QB recruit in the nation couldn't make it at Notre Dame, but is having a successful career at Cinci atm.

Doesn't look like Kiel ever played a down for ND so can't really compare, can we?

If he was committed to Holtz, hw would have gone to LaTech, not UCLA.

Wooulard was lost even before Holtz was fired.

Doesn't guarantee anything. Driskel was billed as the 2nd coming of Tebow years ago, and then Urban left and the offense he would have excelled in did too.

We'll see next year I guess. Driskel may have a decent season as long as Holtz tweaks it a little since Sokol was more of a pocket passer and there should be some running elements.

On the flip side of that, Manny Diaz is now collecting a boobton of money at Mississippi State, so that LA Tech defense that was pretty good this year may not hold up and thus they could regress.

Why would Holtz thumb his nose at Taggart?  Taggart's not the one who fired Holtz for underperforming at USF.

Sorry slick, but I personally see absolutely no reason why this thread was created except to continue trolling Taggart.

Skip and the phrase "coach up" in the same sentence is pretty laughable. If any coaching is going to take place, it'll be from OC/QB Coach Tony Peterson. Skippy will be playing golf somewhere.

Do you have evidence we pursued Driskel or that he was EVER interested in USF (because he had zero interest coming out of high school)? No, of course not.....

I have no evidence that CWT is aware that 5th year players don't sit a year. My point being with the QB position being a major issue, he's done nothing to get someone like Holtz has done twice now.

Why didn't Holtz try to get USF a QB when he was here? He passed on Paxton Lynch when he didn't recruit a QB in his final year. While I agree that Holtz is 10x the coach that Simple Tagg is, he showed a severe lack of focus on the job for at least two years. If only...................................

He did, but that QB bolted to UCLA when Holtz was canned.

Maybe he didn't like Louisiana. Was Holtz even hired when he committed to UCLA?

Good point ... No way he would ever decommit once he committed somewhere.

And for the record, Holtz was hired almost 2 months before Signing Day
