Flowers still has to show he can throw the ball.  Without that, no offense is going to work very well.

Apopka just won the 8A state championship running the Wing-T.  We hired the wrong high school coach.

The Wing-T doesn't work very well in college.

Personally, I think Bench could do the job if we went with the spread.

Remember, we have a running game (okay, good running backs), so he doesn't have to get the long conversions.

I fully agree with this

What kind of spread does Kinnan run? That's more or less the type of spread we will be running. Our recruiters are telling these kids that we are running the spread next year, it's happening. Coach Woodie told Glen Bethel (the top OL recruit who just signed with us) that we are running the spread.

Flowers would be the biggest threat in the spread with his speed....if he works on his mechanics and is able to throw well come next season. And considering Taggart played him when he wasn't ready AT ALL, if Flowers even shows small improvement, I believe he will be our starter.

Unless they bring in a QB that's clearly better, AND can learn quickly, Mike White will be your starting QB next year, not QF.

As someone pointed out, spread does not necessarily mean a running QB.  It can, but doesn't have to be.

Flowers has yet to show that he can pass the ball at this level.  White has.  White has passed for over 2,700 yards in his time here including 2 amazing 4th quarter comebacks (against admittedly bad opponents)...Do you think Flowers would have done that.  Flowers has passed for barely over 100 yds total.  Flowers might end up being a great QB, but to date he's shown absolutely nothing, other than increased mobility over the other QB's.  White deserves to go into next year as the favorite (assuming they don't bring in an outstanding transfer QB).

Flowers has yet to show he can pass the ball out of a wet paper bag.  Face it, he's no BJ...at least not yet.

Well, here's several opinions:  http://www.ign.com/boards/threads/why-do-no-college-teams-run-the-wing-t.205366097/

There's a reason no one runs it.
