Big 12 would be making a mistake if they create an island in Orlando. 90 minutes away you have a program with just as much long run potential.

I don't think we've "fallen" that far, given that we were never really that "high" to begin with.

Assuming you consider finishing mid-conference successful, which - based on the past four years - is not unreasonable, then you could use 'far'.

What if it is the fate of USF football to be akin to a MAC/CUSA team...never lighting it up, always just maintaining the program and going to a

bowl game ever so many years? What if that turns out to be USFs long term legacy?

Because those are the names currently in the news.

Who cares what the fans call for. Realignment is about business decisions. Were those fans calling for Memphis during their crap years recently? UCF was 2 miracle plays and a blatant non call from being 6-6. See if those fans are calling for them at 6-6 or worse next year when they lose all those dynamic seniors and Perrimen. BYU is understandable.

UCF alone is a recipe for a mess, as are we alone. Memphis is too.

Fans in general no nothing.

good thing fans are not in charge of realignment - all 128 teams would be in the SEC

If USF didn't get an invite when the other Big East teams were getting theirs (Pitt, WVU, etc) it wasn't much of a fall.

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”
