I think Mike White's problems couldn't be any more obvious to anyone who watches these games: can't read a defense, no pocket presence, bad situational awareness, stares at one receiver. Most of his problems should be fixed with experience and coaching, I'm very interested to see the improvement we see over the off-season from him. I really do think he has the ability to get it done, but the coaches have to help reach full potential this off-season. He has the arm and toughness, if he can't get it done next year the coaches are just as much to blame as him in my opinion.

I agree with the proper coaching he can improve.  However, playing in chaos may be a whole other problem.  He looks great in practise I'm sure b/c they don't tackle the QB there and there is no real pressure.  Come game day all bets are off and you have lineman coming at you from all angles.  Not every player can handle that type of atmosphere.  I hope he can overcome that.  I also hope CWT gets out of the way and lets the coaches do their job so we an really see what these guys can dol.

I agree that the problem is not CWT finding a QB for USF. The problem is developing the QB that we already have. He has the arm. Maybe the best arm in the history of USF QB's. Just does not have the proper help.

Would love to see it happen because we went all year without "knowing" who our QB was and we are still at the same point.

He has the same potential he had a week ago when this was discussed ad nauseum.  You do realize that kids in college only play 4 years and he has used up 2 of those already?  He's started more games than anyone else over the last 2 seasons and taken more 1st team snaps in practice over that time.  So he better get going this off season.

I'm sorry, but all the coaching in the world can't fix a QB missing a wide-open receiver by 2 to 3 yards.

Where does anyone see this coaching coming from? It certainly is NOT on the staff we have here now.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
