First half of this season is the worst so far. Very little progress made since termites. They had 3 episodes of 3 seperate groups (church, Abraham, and the hospital) and it seems the overall story made very little progress, these were imo wasted episodes where little happened. I mean really a whole episode, 2 i think centered around abrahams and the scientist internal struggles where they stand around a firetruck for nearly the entire 2 episodes. The episodes in the hospital were also pretty slow. I know they are trying to tell simultaneous events between the episodes but it's just really slowing down the pace a little too much.

Running and gunning and killing zombies all the time isn't the way this show works (or the source material for that matter) and never will.  The show/comic is about the struggle to with the duality of trying to maintain humanity while still being brutal enough to survive against zombies and predatory survivors while still trying to maintain some kind of normalcy in your relationships with those around you.  The comic does the same thing and spends issues at a time planning, talking, developing characters and relationships, etc. Also, the show is still killing it ratings wise and pretty much dominates social media during and after the episodes.  The internet **** near exploded after the official TWD facebook page posted a spoiler for the west coast this Sunday, they're obviously doing something right.  My only complaint is the show isn't as unforgiving and brutal as the comic (I'm glad they did their best to be as brutal as in the comics when it came to slaughtering The Hunters) and the acting is hit or miss outside of a few characters.

The 2nd have starts back up in February, I hope there's a big pay-off. Things have been very slow in developing this season. Losing Beth like that was a shocker, she had to have known that the cop chick was going to be trigger happy if she did anything crazy. For what purpose did Beth martyr herself?

Beth was fed up a psycho lady that was a passive aggressive control freak. Don abused and allowed abuse as she saw fit. Beth had been emboldened by her success and the fact that the group was there to back her up. Don's last demand may have pushed her over the edge. She may have also averted an epic gun battle that could have ended the show by wiping out nearly everyone.

So what you're saying is ... it's just another soap opera, with a bunch of zombies for eye candy

There are no love triangles.... well there was one, but 2 of the people involved turned to zombies at this point.

At least its no another crime scene, lawyer based or hospital show. Its hard to find good shows, unless you have very low standards.

Bob's death, though tough and tragic, was good for the show; it helped to develop the story and payed for the violence on the cannibals in the church.

But Beth's death was the most senseless of all of the deaths. Well, maybe I'm griping at the way she died. It just seemed silly to me.

The writers need to go back to what makes the show so good: the characters and the plot.

This season and up to this point, the writers have said to the fans, "Look at the flowers. Just look at the flowers!"
