These are just some statistics to take a look at. USF Offense v. Tulsa Defense USF Rush YPG: 128.3 (105th out of 125) Tulsa Rush YPGA: 218.3 (111th) USF Pass YPG: 166.2 (112th) Tulsa Pass YPGA: 290.3 (113th) USF Total YPG: 294.5 (118th) Tad side note: UCF's total offense is 117th Tulsa Total YPGA: 508.6 (118th) USF Scoring: 19 ppg Tulsa Scoring Defense: 41.2 ppg USF Defense v. Tulsa Offense USF Rush YPGA: 182.2 (88th) Tulsa Rush YPG: 141.2 (93rd) USF Pass YPGA: 224.5 (56th) Tulsa Pass YPG: 283 (31st) USF Total YPGA: 406.7 (75th) Tulsa Total YPG : 424.2 (59th) USF Scoring Defense: 28.8 ppg Tulsa Scoring: 23.5 ppg Turnover Margin USF +3 Tulsa -7 Sacks Allowed USF 8 Tulsa 18 Sacks By USF 14 Tulsa 9 Unfortunately, these stats gravely remind me of the SMU game last year. SMU had one of the worst defenses in football and we scored I believe six points. Obviously, this is a new year and we have improved. This Tulsa game is there for the taking. And to think we play two more defense worse than this (Cincy, dead last. And SMU, 123rd)

The Bulls have had a history of playing to the level of their opponents for quite some time. Even this year, the teams that were supposed to kill us (based on point spreads): Maryland, Wisconsin, ECU are the games where we hung in there and played hard (for a half at least) to keep the score respectable. I hope these guys don't go in there thinking that they are past the "hard part" of the schedule. This team needs to play every game like it's a single elimination tournament. Although we would not be mathematically eliminated from a bowl game, if we lose to Tulsa, I think our season will not be salvageable. Go Bulls!
