Is it even worth it? I mean, i cant tell if our successful plays are the result of the presnap shifts. It seems more deteimental seeing how some of the guys look confused which results in an illegal shift penalty. Why not just line up where you are suppose to be? You are trying to get a read on the type of defensive scheme they are running. As I watch another ECU 20 yard TD run that would have counted in two-hand touch I think most of our opponents would say it isn't worth the bother against us! By shifting you can tell if a defense is in a zone or man defense and also it is supposed to help get the offense in to advantageous match ups. Not sure any match up gives us an advantage against any.

It can reveal clues about the defense. If you are completely stupid and can't get set you get a penalty. I don't see a problem with shifting. He got his butt chewed by CWT on the sidelines for this. Hopefully he learns it.

His eyes had to be on the click at that point (and the ball). No way that's on him.
