This is the kind of thing that leads to USF just shutting down the school.

It's great for USF. It gives us a huge presence downtown, it allows USF health to expand other programs, such as nursing. This is a huge development for USF. smazza is just doing his usual USF bashing.

Possibly gifted to a "flagship" institution like UF or FSU? Or... gasp... Florida Polytech!

Assuming Scott doesn't veto this item from the upcoming budget, USF should be in good shape from the legislative side of things: http://www.bizjournals.com/tampabay/news/2015/02/19/usf-official-night-and-day-difference-between.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+industry_20+%28Industry+Commercial+Real+Estate%

To keep the medical school away from TGH is foolish..,. FH Tampa just does not have the resources required for Level 1 status... USF's medical school makes the most sense to move closer to CAMLS and TGH....
