Tough to narrow it down to just a top 3, so I'll just go with the top 3 games that I was present for, all football:

1) 2007 vs. West Virginia. The atmosphere that night was absolutely electric and the defense continued the beatdown it put on Slaton and White the year prior in Morgantown.

2) 2005 vs. Louisville. Our first Big East game, we jumped on Louisville early and never looked back. I was in the student section for that one and it was a non-stop party all freaking game. So much fun.

3) 2007 at Auburn. Great game. I didn't even watch Delbert's FG at the end of regulation, just put my head down and listened, hoping for silence. And then the way the stadium went silent besides our corner going crazy when Grothe hit Jessie Hester to win the game. One of a handful of road games I've made the trip for, including bowl games, and it is still my favorite.

  • Quotes

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22
