We won 2 games last year.

We will win 5 or more this year.

2 wins, plus we don't lose to a McNeese, we win the close ones (Houston and UCF).... = 5

West  Virginia at 78, just behind Troy, San Jose State, and Syracuse? The big 12 sure worked out great for them. (not that I would turn it down for USF).

Actually I expect us to challenge for and possibly win the AAC this year, so the rankings here don't mean much other than a way to pass some time before the season starts.

Go Bulls!

I think the authors of this list just put schools in relative positions, like these teams are bad and go at the back 1/3, and put them in a hat and pulled the out one at a time for the order. Maybe the top dozen or two's order will make more sense, these 'bad' teams don't seem to be in a realistic order.

I wouldn't be surprised, right or wrong, that if CWT doesn't get 5 wins he's fired. The money the school is losing has to be putting huge stress on the new AD, Judy, etc..

I would.

Anyone who thinks Skip Holtz's LaTech team is a few spots from WVU is smoking fat rocks.  Colorado St., too?  Geez, while WVU is clearly struggling in the Big 12, then are not #78.  I'd say Top 50, likely, and a bowl game, almost certainly.

That said, leaving the Big East for a P5 was a good move, no matter how you struggle there.  We'd love to be 2-10 in the Big 12 v AAC.  But this is out lot in life till we can manage to escape.

Wow, LATech is 80.

Lol, above a dozen P5's!

Not for long, just wait until Skippy gets done sprinkling his fairy dust all over that program in the next two years.

Lower than I thought, but it's fair.

Its higher than I thought... after winning 2 games last season we should not even be ranked.
