Like I said before; the wife and I met one of those refs in Breckenridge that year. He flat out admitted to us he blew that call.

This is the first time I've read this (ever). Not that it makes it any better, but it's nice to know we all weren't out of our minds.

I think he meant let go of the illegal forward propulsion, not the memory of the previous 6 games.

Correct Charsibb...thanks. Yes that was a fun year but I am so tired of hearing about that play. I am more concerned about just getting to a bowl game.

I've said this too many times. We had a nice crowd at that game. When those points came off the board you could feel it among the fans that it was the beginning of the end of the season (and maybe USF football). I really, really hated that call and the way it affected USF football. How the heck do you determine intent from a replay? You would need to have the guy's brain hooked up to all kinds of gizmos if that is even possible. I still call bull violation on that call.

That was the most bs call I have ever seen. Every time I think of that game I want to vomit. Greg Schiano ran after the refs so much it was disgusting. Ruck Futgers

 

I hate Schiano...he had his players stomp on our logo at mid field and was nowhere to be found when his players destroyed the visiting locker room...no class.

The season that could have been .... *tear*

 

The real season that got away was 2009.

Grothe was starting his senior season and his injury forced us to play freshman BJD. But THAT defense was loaded with talent.
