If pitching is any indicator, then yes! Pre-1995, it was very rare to see anybody that could hit triple digits on the radar gun. Nowadays, most mlb teams have at least one pitcher that can bring that kind of heat. Aroldis Chapman hitting 106 mph is just ridiculous and something I didn't think was possible. Probably also why we are seeing a lot more UCL tears. The body can't sustain that much torque for so long. Nolan Ryan being the exception, of course!
