It looks like D-Johnson and V-Jackson might be our only signing day additions at this point minus some surprises. That would make 27...I heard that we would give out 31 scholarships this year. Would we save the scholarships for the next class or use them to bump up walk-ons if we come up short?

I would prefer not to use all 31. Leave 3-4 open because there will always be a few kids who want to transfer home and may have eligibility immediately. Rodney Adams being the most recent one. Can't

We have 31 to give.  I would imagine that CWT would like to use them all but may not be able to.  Some may be used to reward walk-ons and some may be saved for early enrollees next year.

I may be dreaming, but I've got a hunch Taggart's got a suprise silent commit that we'll love, to be announced on NSD.[no: I don't think Litton is one of them, regardless of 247's "favorite" status...but I will be curious where he goes, and how he acts.  Ever since the dust up, he's been radio silent, so hats off to him for learning]

 

But, if we get Jackson & Johnson, that'd make this a very good class (assuming we don't suffer any flips).

 

I think we hold a few for transfers & walk in bumps.

They count against the total 85 number, but not in class numbers.

Also leaving a few spots open this class gives us an opportunity to take some early enrollees next year, like the 6 we took last month. Still would rather fill it out now but I guess it's better to wait than take kids you know won't pan out.

Anyone know how many Bulls players are in their final years?  If not many are leaving, that means a lighter class next year, likely.  So being selective makes sense.

 

That said, we need depth badly, so I'd love to see us near max haul, and let attrition provide a few extra slots for next year.

 

One more day, fellas...then we can get back to no longer thinking of HS football for a while.
