No, but he will get a ring as a member of the team

He doesn't have to appear on the active roster at least once to get one? In baseball, they don't give the entire minor league system a ring, only guys who were on the active team for one game.

Wow, you know you're right, since the NFL is run exactly the same way as MLB and MiLB, they probably should not allow 3rd string QBs Super Bowl championship rings.

He's not 3rd string though. If he was, he'd get one automatically.

He gets one automatically anyway.  So, where does that leave your argument?

It leaves me sitting with that article saying the team decides. The one you didn't read. In fact, it said some teams don't give the practice squad a ring. Edited by JTrue

Fair enough.  Happened to skim over the link.  Too many Terrapins tonight.

Still say he'll be getting one.  Did a search and it doesn't appear that too often, the practice squad guys get left out.

It looks like its a team decision from an allotment they get. They can choose who gets them or buy more with team funds.

Still happy for BJ and the fact he's part of such a solid organization despite experiencing such chaos and abject failure his last three years at USF.

Pete Carroll won't let him not have a ring...BJ was a part of the playoff success in warm ups, sideline encouragement, etc. that Carroll values in his team.

I think if he gets a ring is up to the NFLPA collective bargaining agreement.

My friend got a ring for working for the front office of a team in the 90s. He'll get one
