you brought up the stats.  the ones that matter most are rebounding margin.  FT attemtpts vs opponents, and turnovers per game.  thats what leads to wins

We either have no shooters at all, or we have guys that don't have the confidence to take open shots. Not sure which is worse. PG play hasn't been too bad without AC, we just don't seem to have a lot of weapons, and tend to try to force it inside to a big, which ends up causing a bunch of turnovers.

This is the most painful part. Open shots are being passed on time and time again.

This is coaching, they are afraid to take a shot and miss because Heath will bench them if they don't run through the play,

Apparently they're doing it in practice, what's keeping them from doing it games?

A: When we practice, we practice against other Bulls, and they're not aggressively defending each other

B: The players are too worked up by the crowd and therefore too nervous to hit a 3

C: If they jack it and miss, Stan's quick hook sends them to the bench, and they're too worried about the hook.

I think it's "C"

+1

I said this as well before I saw your post.

I think we have a large enough sample size to say we will not hit more than 25% of our 3 point shots with any regularity. We may get a "hot" night where we get to 35% but we are not going to be even average in that area.

It's unacceptable that I have played with students at the rec that are better outside shooters than anyone on our team.

Sure they are not playing against D1 defense but honestly an open shot is an open shot. Our players should be making them.

Most of these are uncontested bricks.

They just need to add an hour of practice everyday of just shooting outside shots. Try something to improve their accuracy.
