Yeah just want to clarify, I see no reason, personality-wise, why Leavitt can't be an NFL head coach. My comment about the Ryans wasn't meant to imply that. I'm not sure Leavitt has the management skills to be an NFL head coach, but if he can land a defensive coordinator gig somewhere, he may at least earn himself an opportunity. I do agree age is a factor though, and so he probably has to get that opportunity soon if it's going to happen.

One-on-one he is very friendly and personable

 

Can confirm. Fan Fest happened to fall on my birthday one year. He told me "Hey, that's great! That's really special. It's a great day for a birthday! That's real powerful!"

Disagree, Trip. I think Rex Ryan is quite the politician, and Rob Ryan has never gotten a head coaching job.

 

Rex isn't the only one who made head coach ... although, thinking about it, you're probably right about Rex being a politician. Only of those could have gotten a contract extension.
