Remember he was not a scholarship quarterback at Bama, he walked on to the program and paid his own way. He did have some offers but I do not think he was "highly recruited". Huh? Yeah that's a head-scratcher. It says because he took a redshirt this past season, he's immediately eligible. The only thing I can think of, and I've never heard this before if it's true, is that taking a redshirt in 2013 can count as the season he has to sit out? That or the article is just misinformed.
