Who here has criticized Daniels for being on the practice squad? It's certainly much better than most would have expected, given the level of coaching he had while at USF. He's a good, hard-working player and is a great guy to call a Bull. I doubt he's NFL starter material, but I wouldn't be shocked if he worked his way up to being a backup, and then, if he gets a chance to play, who knows?

Not sure if directed at me. The usual suspects with the "he's not an nfl quarterback posts".

I agree, he's probably not nfl starter material but the McGowan brothers have made some nice coin riding the pine for years.

I would like to see him on the field again.

Didn't want to start a new thread about this, but I also just caught site of Jim Leavitt for the first time. I usually watch for him when I see 49ers games, but I've never seen him on the sideline, which leads me to believe he is usually up in the booth instead of on the field. But after Willis made that pick a few minutes ago, I saw Leavitt in his face on the sideline talking to him about something in typical intense Leavitt fashion.

All it would take is an injury and he'd put on pads...another and he might start. Very proud he's a Bull...just a great kid.

An injury to Wilson and there won't be another game for him to dress.

No way to know that. But I really meant through the season...should have put that in past tense.

No offense to Daniels, but if Wilson and Tavaris Jackson (their backup) both got injured, they almost certainly would have signed a free agent like Kitna rather than gone with Daniels. There's no way to know, of course, but that seems way more likely to me.

Was he on the roster, suited up, and ready to play? Or just in street clothes?

Street clothes behind Carroll.

No he's always on the sideline. I see him more than anyone besides Harbaugh.
