He was competitive with Georgia Southern late in the season with lots of injuries.

You just lost any shred of credibility you may have had by saying this. Teams like Florida don't try to be "competitive" with teams like GSU ... They look to overwhelm teams like GSU. As stated elsewhere before, Florida's 3rd string should have shut down that team. GSU didn't complete 3 passes the whole day!!!!

LOL ... Florida competitive with GSU .... Hahahahha

Also, GSU had lost 19 players to injury ...

Goodness no. He couldn't come up with a game plan to beat Georgia Southern at home. I don't care what kind of injuries they're dealing with the Florida Gators walk ons are head and shoulders above what Georgia Southern has. Awful coaching, awful game planning, that falls on Muschamp.

He  was competitive with Georgia Southern late in the season with lots of injuries.  CWT had all off-season to prepare and got his rear handed to him in our 1-AA!

It is looking more and more like firing Skip Holtz last season was a bad call - not just Muschamp but there are going to be lots of other coaches available this coming year.  We likely win 1 or 2 more games this season with Skip and spend a lot less money!

1. Which of these coaches available would USF land that would be an improvement over Taggart?

2. We are paying less for CWT than we would for Holtz, even with the buyout money and Cosh's salary this year.

You guys are out of your mind in the criticism of Taggart. This year sucks, but it would have been even worse with Skip and the infamous Cosh defense. Changing the system, and rebuilding the program from ground zero takes time.

Will Muschampless is in his 3rd season with UF. So, it is easy answer for us to keep Taggart.

Teams like USF shouldn't be striving to be competitive with the FAUs, Georgia Southerns, or McNeese States of the world either!  The point is we had all the horses in our stable, an entire off-season to prepare, and CWT's team got out played by McNeese St up and down the field.  We weren't even competitive!

How you don't get that it's one thing for us to lose to FCS, but an utterly different thing for the FLORIDA GATORS to lose to FCS, I don't know ...

How you don't get that we didn't just loose to an FCS team -- we got completely manhandled by an FCS team.  No one really believes Georgia Southern is a better football team that the Gators anymore than someone believes the Houston Astros > New York Yankees because they took 2 - 3 once!  USF on the other hand would loose that game 9/10 it was played -- at least with our current scheme / player combination.

To the topic of the original thread, if both coaches were on the open market next season I doubt there is an AD in the country that would take Willie over Muschamp.

That was game one, year one. Look at the stats, Muschamp's team got manhandled by GSU's triple option offense while the Eagles went 0-3 in passing. That's year three, game eleven for the Gators.

Your comparison and entire argument are complete and utter nonsense.
