Not impressed with Greg's replacement so far...he seems nice enough, but he did a piece on a UCF player and he live bogged an FSU game. I realize he has duties to cover "newsy" stories, but is the Gator's beat writer also covering the Noles...is the Ohio State beat guy live blogging Michigan games? It just seems a bit dirty to be covering your beat's hated rivals for the sake of newsy material...I will likely stop paying attention to the times and cancel my subscription now that Greg is gone. I was just wondering what all of you fine folks thought? Do any of you still subscribe to the times even though they seem to be putting the home team on the backburner. I understand we suck, but that is no reason to be disloyal to the home team and their fans.

I,m with you . Joe needed to get some training from Greg before they turned him loose . I don't think He gets it ,  I mean like He is tweeting about  high school football and now writing  UCF articles  for hits :angrymob:

I realize the FSU game thing might have been forced on him by the paper, but come on times...covering one of the largest universities in the countries' rivals with THEIR own beat guy seems like a quick way to get shunned by the fan base in a hurry.

Really guys? He has a job to do. If they ask him to do something else he does it. It's not like a newspaper writer has much wiggle room.

Bring back Auman. He was the sole reason I checked the Times site.

Still subscribe to both and don't see a reason to stop either ... just checked the Times Bulls blog and didn't see an article about a Kanigit player there so I'm good  ... and the attempt to compare the USF/FSU relationship to OSU/UM one was freaking hilarious ... Sometimes our fans can pick the weirdest, most trivial **** to ***** and moan about.
