Is it just me, or has it looked like Andre Davis has been playing like a man with a broken spirit?

 

I believe much of that was frustration at having little confidence that his QBs would give him catchable passes.  With Mike White maybe getting a bit more time than other QBs thus far, and releasing it a LOT quicker, Davis started to see the ball hitting him in the hands, a LOT.

 

With each catch, he seemed to get that old swagger back from last year, and had his best game since Nevada last year...and it's his first game with over 100 since then.  17 games!

 

If White wakes up this group, we may see even more improvement as a unit.

 

Side note: White completed 26 passes today.  That's as much as Bench had all season, and just 12 fewer than Eveld. We'd been averaging 10.5 completions a game.  So, yeah...things are looking up.

 

Tough loss, but take away that cheap OPI v Davis, and we may be talking about the miracle 29-28 win for a long time.

Would have been 11 if Gonzalez didn't drop one. One of my favorite passes was the 11 yarder to Lawrence Martin.  That DB wet his pants as 300# Martin lumbered toward him.
