Bresnahan or Taggart said we would get to Teddy and they were right.  Unfortunately the good defensive effort was returned with 133 yards of total offense and 18:17 time of possession.

The defense played way better than the 34 on the board.

The defense didn't play bad, but lets not let a couple spectacular sacks negate the fact that Louisville moved the ball on us pretty easily outside of that. The offense was to blame late. But the defense wasn't exactly an iron curtain.

7 of those points were on that INT return from UL. USF defense was on the field pretty much all day and that was because our offense could not move the ball. I would like to give credit to UL defense, but the reality is that our offense has been terrible all season.

Our defense played well but they can't be expected to sustain it for forty plus minutes a game against a good offense and a great quarterback. They were going to get worn down spending that much time on the field not to mention that statistically if you give UL that many opportunities to run offensive plays on us they are going to get production. Our offense definitely hasn't helped our defense out at all this season and it makes the defense seem worse than it really is. I was happy to see Bridgewater put on his ass a few times.

They gashed the right side of our defense all day, and we couldn't stop the short passes wherever they were.

Defense gets a C for this game.

If the offense just moved the ball the deffense could have stayed fresh much longer...oh well.

With the offense going 3 and out almost every series, it was an amazing effort by the defense to keep the team in the game against one of the best offenses in the country.

Geez rough season guys. Is this seriously a topic?

I didn't think you would troll us like this ...

Seriously...why even post that?

All I can think of is that the post was a moment of weakness for redbird, who's been an overall classy opposing fan.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
