At some point you have to say a coach gets the best out of the players he has. Taggart clearly has a "They are going to do it my way or else attitude." I think he could have changed the scheme to fit the talent only for future kids to be confused. It will either be a big pay off for ultimately lead to his demise in four years. I feel most comfortable with the mentors that he has to get the job done. I imagine Coach Dungy is also waiting right there if needs to reach out. So Coach T has at his diposal, The Harbaughs, Coach Dungy, Coach Gruden, and he said that he talks to Coach Strong and Coach Sumlin. I think if anybody has the roots for success that he does. He is not winging it by the seat of his pants.

During the Daniels years all you guys wanted was a tall, in the pocket passer, we have them in stock now and we have no pocket for them to pass from. Bench did not play bad, he just never had time to throw, plus receivers need to do something to help out. Look like they are doing walk through drills at half speed. We've got what...9 or more now in the regular rotation? If that doesn't tell you about the lack of talent Skip left us with, nothing does. How many of those nine are Skip recruits? Even Mike White was a Skip recruit. Mike White was not a Skip recruit. He was Tags 1st recruit He was not scouted, recruited, offered, and accepted all on CWT's first day. This. Then, Scott brought the video to Taggart on day 1 and Tags made the decision to offer the kid? Vaguely remember something like that in the story. Obviously Skip wasn't completely against him, allowing Scott to spend time on him, but, he was sitting on the sidelines, stroking the timeouts in his pocket. But was being scouted/recruited by Coach Scott under Holtz. http://touch.orlandosentinel.com/#section/-1/article/p2p-73624647/

That doesn't happen if the staff wasn't ready to offer him. He thought the hiring of Taggart might mean USF was no longer an option. Call him a Taggart recruit if it makes you feel better, I don't see it. “I had been previously talking with Coach Scott so they were already recruiting me before Coach Holtz was fired,†White said. “As soon as they hired coach Taggart, Coach Scott showed him my film and they offered. I took a couple of minutes to talk with my family and my coaches and I decided to commit.†He talked coming off the field at the Citrus Bowl about how he was taking a visit to Marshall in the near future and that USF was in the picture, but he was not sure since Holtz had been fired.
