I'd like to see more. I know he is dealing with some heavy emotions right now having lost his mom. Hopefully football is a good outlet for him and I'd really like to see him bear down and truly be a force, especially in next weekend's game. Maybe he can put Teddy Heisman on his back a time or two, or at least free up someone else to.

Finally seeing some more consistent play out of him. I hope he keeps it up. We'll need it against Louisville.

The guy has been playing the past couple of years knowing his mom was going to pass.

Many here were on him about how overrated he is and how he has underachieved.  Many here still ripping some of these kids apart for under-performing without knowing fully what is going on in their lives.  Man, sometimes this sport can distort people's perception and make them unbelievably crazy and irrational.

I ran into his father last week, (I had met him a couple years earlier while working at USF) and made some small talk and asked how he was doing. Unfortunately, I was unaware of his wife's passing. When he told me, I certainly offered my condolences.

Tons of respect for both father and son in being able to handle such a tough time in their lives.

secret shoulder injury after the fact willy

Giddens makes a good all around Lineman (can line up anywhere), has a better all around game than Lynch.  Lynch needs to bulk up a little to be an NFL DE.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
