USF Men's baseball is ranked higher,

 

UCF's men's golf team is top 25,

 

This year, USF Men's Soccer is 85, UCF is 65

 

This year, Womens Volleyball USF 149, UCF 102

 

You'd sound just slightly less of a fool in your "they've surpassed us" mantra if you'd try to use the fact that they're currently 2-0 against us in games played ...

Guess only a fool would back something up with current AAC standings and NCAA rankings. Oh well, Green and Gold Goggles. How about Learfield Cup rankings?

Guess you haven't heard of the Learfield Athletic Director's Cup. Even fools have heard of it apparently. Its awarded each year to the school with the best overall athletic department based on rankings of all sports. Stanford has won it repeatedly. Florida has repeatedly been top 5, usually #2, FSU around 10 and Miami hangs around 50,  So no, they don't keep passing each other. UCF has been in the 50s. USF in the 70s.  At the end of the 2009-2010 season USF and UCF were even at ranked just over 100. Since then UCF has constantly been ranked about 20 positions ahead of USF.

Current standings doesn't mean they've passed us.  You're looking at a snapshot in time.  It is not indicative of whether or not UCF is ahead of us overall.  Now, if they were to get into a P5 conference and we were left behind, then you could say that they've passed us.

Its been for the last 3 years they've been ranked well ahead, it hasn't been currently only.  They take national rankings of sports and NC, etc. into the rankings. They were equal with USF in 2009-10 school year, ahead ever since. Look at the data yourself. Its all there, just don't spout off a subjective answer.  Do you think Florida ranked for years at #2 is the same as Vanderbilt? Conference doesn't matter in rankings. Its how well all sports do in national rankings.

Also note that trophy is for up to 10 men's and 10 women's sports. Women don't play football, so its not included, its all other sports.

Even though it's a horrible stadium, their overall facilities would be enticing IMO to an incoming frosh (whether an athlete or a general student). That was a well played promo on their part. The dancing in the reflection pond had my mind wandering about all the fun that could have gone down that day. Their on-campus pools are pretty pimp IMO.

 

 

the stadium and overall game-day atmosphere is FAR better than USF's and all of you going this year will see.

It's about creating an overall atmosphere and culture on a Campus. It's not about just 1 facility, I would still take BHNS even if Jerry World was built at the site of the Citrus Bowl.
