Slick: this is an honest question. Has CWT ever responded to you about Ironside?

Actually, I'd like to know the answer to that.

The only time he has responded to me was a PM after I commented on one of the early losses to him, so no. And what I've sent him were links to Ironside's  accomplishments in newspapers as well has his being the first team all state AAAAAA QB. But the last I heard CWT talk about recruiting was recently on the link posted and he sounded like he is staying close to home and when he brought up other areas it sounded like an afterthought the way he said it.

I am impressed not only with the kid, but his dad who is the head coach. This school is less than 10 years old and has been winning for several years and now making runs at the state championship in the top division.  http://www.gpb.org/sports/football/hillgrove

He's now 6"1', 205.

That is about the same size as Danny Wuerffel and Casey Weldon, who did pretty well for other college teams in Florida. If the kid can make grades then I wouldn't mind giving him a shot.

Go Bulls!

Last QB we got from Georgia?  the uber-talented Jamius I'm GunsbyDammit.  Bust.

The last QB you got from GA is still on the roster, Bench.

Good point, Slick...wasn't thinking transfers, but yup.  I like Bench, too.  I think he'll push White this Spring.

I don't think it was the kid most were mocking...

yeah, that's a fair point.  But the kid is tangled in it.  If I was a kid trying my best to advance to the next level, I'd hate to be the punchline to a running joke.

That said, the guy likely has never even heard of this site.

I bet he has. This thread is one of the top results when you Google his name. He's probably so confused as to why there's a 12 page thread on him from a message board of a school that has never had any contact or interest in him whatsoever and some dude tweeting the coach about him. As a matter of fact, I'm confused about the same thing.

Confused? He sent me a message thanking me for creating the thread.

Wait, I'm still on the ignore list?

Double secret probation. ;)

Not directly, but CWT often manages to give a non-answer that is an answer.

I doubt he would bother to do that with an inquiry like this one ... "I can't comment one or the other" would probably be the answer.

Seeing how he handled the Miami fan that tweeted him about a prospect, I figured he'd answer slick, with "Why should I listen to a UCF fan?"
