When i played i would get it in my head that whatever happens my guy is not going to make the tackle. Silly looking back but it worked for me.

The problem is, it looks like sometimes they don't know who their guy is.

Ding ding ding. This is an over looked aspect. Hard to block someone if you don't know who your assignment is. I did see our RG get knocked on his heels by a blitzing LB which was quite embarrassing

At the very least, I hope they would see the merit in moving someone from the right side over to the left. Protect the blindside and that will cut down on some of those nasty sack-fumbles returned for touchdowns. I'll take an intentional grounding (from a QB being able to see he's in for it) all day over a turnover.

A lineman needs the weight from fat so they don't get pushed around.  I have never seen a guy that was 300+ that wasn't fat.

Mass is part of the physics equation.  An object that weighs more takes more effort to move out of the way.

Darrell Williams is small and he has Flat Tires for feet. So he is the Yugo of "Offensive" linemen.

Last I checked the scoreboard doesn't have a spot for current bank balance on it.
