At this point, paying for a newspaper is a better deal than paying to watch our team play.

Newspapers everywhere are doing it. Sarasota Herald Tribune does it, I can't read my home town news anymore. AJC is doing it on some articles. I'd pay for a multi-paper pass, but these guys all seem to want $10/month. Ain't happening. NFL.com, CBS, etc. does good and SB collects all the best stories and emails them to you if you are on their list.

I think it depends on the number of hits they get from a specific IP.  I visit quite often.

 

A pop-up appeared the other day saying I have only 5 views left unless I pay them $12/mon.  Today was my last view for life until they lift this nonsense.

 

Just use a private browser (incognito window on say Chrome) and most newspaper sites think you are a new computer/IP.
