Where were the tight ends yesterday in the passing game? I don't think I saw one play targeting them. I thought they were supposed to be a feature in CWT's offense. Seems like a few quickie 5-yard passes would have been helpful with a blitz-heavy D and shaky QB in.

Was thinking the same thing ... I think I heard one was intended for Price but it got tipped ... There were probably, hopefully, others but don't recall immediately.

+1

We heard all this talk regarding tight ends in this offense. Only time I heard #12 called was for penalties. Glad someone started a thread on this.

They were open a few times, but neither of the QBs had time to progress to them with that pass rush. I expect that to change...soon.

Instead of "progress to them" maybe change the progression order to TE first of its an easier pass an they are open more frequently against blitzes?

Surely they should/could have been the first option on some play at some time? Just don't understand it in this offensive scheme...

His progression is either how he's been taught by the staff, who he is most comfortable with in camp or wrong and will be corrected.

The closest we came was FB Eppes had a catch and looks good catching the ball.

I'm impressed with Eppes, he seems to have come out of nowhere with decent talent.

I don't know, I didn't see much in Eppes, especially carrying but maybe I missed a good play or two? McFarland, I think, had another sharp play but don't remember Price getting a look (penalties, he hurt us!).

Agree these guys were not used nearly as much as they should have been with that pressing D.
