Offense - C

MSU had terrific defense, let's admit it.  Top 10 last year in Pass/Rush/Total D.  With our QB's the way they were, you'd expect that type of play.  However, the handoff to Shaw didn't work the first time -- along with the 60th time.  In addition, it felt like our plays developed embarrassingly slow

Defense - B

MARKED improvement from last week.  Still a few areas and gaps to fill, especially with the running game.  But juxtaposed with last week's performance, that's where they sit with me.  Great tackles and (ugh, Skip Holtzism) EFFORT by the personnel.  Hats off

Special Teams - C

10 yard punt... but a ~50yard field goal.  Kickoff returns... sigh... the rest writes itself.

Overall, we were boatloads more competitive than we were last week.  There's a spark... we're not down for the count just yet.  I have some optimism for the rest of the season.

Just my .02

Complete failure. Took a winnable game and turned it into a loss. Makes me sick.

Offensive - F   Two positives: Shaw put forth great effort again and got results, the other positive was that Bench's one pass attempt hit the receiver, who was unfortunately out of bounds

Defense - B   Played well especially the DBs although that could have been poor play by the MSU QBs

Special teams - D Not much shown on kick-offs nothing great or bad. Punt returns was sporadic Durden needs to make better decisions but does show potential, Kloss on target, Ciabatti very inconsistent

If it's UCF fan, maybe he interpreted 'defense' as 'offense' since he can't read ;)

F - Need an answer at QB. O line needs to protect the blindside, that cost us 14

C - Lynch underwhelming again, where is this great front 4?

C - Punts were ok, FGs were good, Stop catching returns inside our 10...wtf are you thinking

Offense was a D+/C- They didn't do much but they could have do so much more wrong. That defense was brutal.

Defense was C+/B-. It was against a weak offense but nice pressure, and not many big plays given up. Can't remember if they had any penalties called against them.

Special Teams C. Mixed bag. Someone needs to tell Durden when to let the ball go in the end zone.

One thing no one has mentioned was there wasn't a ton of penalties. Is that a good or bad thing? MSU had penalties called on their defense for interfering with the receivers but they did it many more times than they were called so that helped them win.  Should the O line tried to hold the defense?
