He said there was bickering on the side lines among players when things went bad. He had the entire team watch the game and players stood up when they made mistakes and said how they are going to fix

Let's see, didn't they have Dungy come talk to them last year and Harbaugh this year?  Obviously having successful people talk to them doesn't work.  So maybe a shrink is in order.

I like everything Taggart says.....much the opposite of Holtz. I really hope he can succeed.

Sounds like there may not yet be enough discipline, or players are forgetting their practices.

Do we not think this may have happened last year? Habits hard to break, and this isn't a Holtz comment...

You get used to the scheme failing and try something else, even if it isn't what is called. I think last year defense got into this after repeatedly seeing their prevent burned.

 

 

 

And it was brought out and addressed last year too. Its not like that was ignored or overlooked.

Maybe they didn't bring the entire team together when they addressed it last year to show it was happening all over. However last season it was mostly the defense doing this, players going off the reservation, as I recall. But now CWT brought the entire team together vs addressing this as separate units.

There were barely any positives mentioned in the show, which is what I was hoping.

 

He knows there are issues and was there firsthand to witness the largest disaster in USF history.  He wants to put the dumpster fire out and is going to do everything he can to earn our support and trust back.

 

He said all of the right things.  I like it... he's the right guy to right this ship...  if all of that came from Holtz, I'd say boy cry wolf.  I expect a different team on Saturday...

None of that changes the score on Saturday, or the "piss poor" attitude by the team. The bus crashed big time. Only way to make it right is with hardware in the LRS center.

You let your opponent score 33 points with only 68 total yds of offense and you won't beat anyone no matter what scheme you use.
