Nice article and fair.  Realistic goal is 6- 8 wins not counting the bowl.  But hoping for an undefeated season and a BCS Bowl.

 

 

Would love to send Ville and Rutgers to their new homes with losses, Keep the streak over UCIF going to make it 5-0, get revenge over UConn, (for winning a BCS bid in our house a few years ago), Beat Sparty to start the season and knock the Little 10 out the BCS( would help us get some attention and possibly some votes in the polls),  Pay Miami back for last year.

 

We cant have any down weeks either, No Temple, Or Ball St type weeks this year.

I agree with you here.  My concern is Michigan State will be a difficult game to win.

I like our match up with Sparty actually,  Think its winnable and will be much closer than many expect.  If the defense plays as expected  than we could win this game. They are heavy on the run, Which is good for our defense. 

 

Turnovers , special teams and QB play will be the deciding factor.

It's a positive write up, and a lot is riding on CWT to work some miracles his first year @ U of SF. 

It'll be interesting to see how it shakes out. The game w/Cinci has us as underdogs and is considered a must-win

to gain momentum going into the second half of conference play. 

 

I think this sums it up...with the inclusion of determining the starting QB...

 

 While the cupboard isn’t bare, it won’t take a search party to find a can of soup either. From the team that went 3-9, not a single All-Big East performer returns. The backfield is starting over. Both cornerbacks have graduated. And a new punter and kicker must be mined. In other words, USF is rebuilding.

I'm not usually the overly optimistic type.  Generally, I'm the, "hope for the best, expect the worst" type, but for some reason, I think we're going to surprise a lot of people this year (in a good way).
