Finally, something concrete ....  http://www.tampabay.com/blogs/bulls/college-president-endorsed-dyer-to-taggart/2131938

Not only did USF football host former Auburn running back Michael Dyer for a visit this past weekend, but the president of Arkansas Baptist College, where Dyer spent the past year, said Bulls coach Willie Taggart personally called him to ask about the potential transfer ....

****, if Trip believes it there must be something to it. Bawhahaha

I like this part:

Taggart has an impressive run of success with his running backs, getting a 1,500-yard rusher in each of the last four seasons, going back to Toby Gerhart in 2009 at Stanford when he was the running backs coach there. The Bulls are lacking a proven back on the current roster, where projected starter Marcus Shaw has rushed for 391 yards in his first three seasons.

This would be one heck of a pickup...and Willie Taggart is exactly what Michael Dyer needs if he's serious about making amends.

GA did great job of going to Fitz for interview, Dyer camp has gone quiet. I suspect they are either filling out paperwork or figuring if they want to look farther. After recent failure on numerous fronts, they maybe in Bird-n-Hand mode. My guess is more news is coming a lot sooner than 7-10 days. That number was floated 2 weeks ago. Fuse is a lot shorter now. Aug 4 is 2 1/2 weeks away. Lot to do before then if he's coming. Hope he's bringing support with him, it will be great if he has a tether to recent success.

The article also stated the he was visiting several other schools so we can't get our hopes up too high just yet.

There are a lot of things that just seem to make sense with this. I do like the parts of the article that talks about his character. It seems like he may very well be on the road back to success. Hopefully we can provide the right support and education for this young man.

If he wants to win another national championship he will join the Sumlin and the Aggies, but don't worry Bulls fan, there is no talk of that... only my conjecture.

But... here is some chatter from another article, not sure if already posted, but looks like there's not much competition as TCU and Arkansas already closed their doors:

"The glimmer of hope for Dyer is that, according to his uncle, two FBS programs have shown interest.  One of those, Western Kentucky, is coached by former Arkansas head coach Bobby Petrino.  The Sun Belt’s Troy is the other FBS team, while FCS-level Illinois State is another to show interest."

Wouldn't Griffin's spot be open for him?

Last I checked the scoreboard doesn't have a spot for current bank balance on it.

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”
