I'll wait for the official announcement.

You would think where the Grizzlies play would be ideal.

That would be where our new conference mates the Tigers also play - FedEx Forum.  I don't like the idea of playing in a conference team home arena.

St. John's plays all of its big home games in MSG.

Don't mind if it's the home court for one of the teams. We need to pack it regardless of which teams are playing. Where is the best place to do that?

Don't know if there is a better place than Memphis.

New Orleans, Tampa, Orlando are better than Memphis

NOLA would prolly be good, but not likely to be much local support from Tulane fans. It'll have to be 90% out-of-towners, I'd guess.

Don't know about Orlando, but Tampa would likely be 80% empty unless we were in it.

And then it'd only be like 50% empty if we were in it! ;)

I don't think so, because it's a, "destination" for a lot of people.  You'd probably see more out of town fans go to the cities I mentioned over Memphis.

I think being a 'destination' has a lot to do with what the conference tournament could be. Greensboro is good for the ACC, given that it's within walking distance of Duke, Wake Forest, UNC & NCSU and not that much of a haul from 'lanata or VA. Given our geographic diversity - I like saying that...'geographic diversity' - I would think that having the tournament in someplace of tourist interest would be something to consider. Got nothing against Tampa, or Dallas or Houston or 1330 Monmouth Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45225...but NOLA or Orlando look to be a couple of pretty good venues, s'pecially in the early spring, when some folks up north still suffer alarmingly pale skin and cabin fever.

Good point.

And since Disney owns ESPN, there oughta be a bunch of leverage possibilities in Orlando for week-long "themed" vacation packages.

Rotate the first three through Orlando, Memphis, and NOLA, then leave it where the attendance is highest?

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

Last I checked the scoreboard doesn't have a spot for current bank balance on it.
