I don't know if the OP realized, but the Sun Dome has been home to many televangelists. Benny Hinn (I may have misspelled that, and I don't care enough to look it up) has been through a few times. And for a while, the local church "the River" with Rodney Howard Brown and his wife used to make the Corral their home every week before they could afford to have their own building. At the end of the day, The Sun Dome renovations should be paid from increased usage for concerts of the Dome. (because a good concert is usually much more valuable than a special event like the taste of Temple Terrace or India Fest) It is the other venues construction costs that I worried about, but if we get the huge payday from the other school's exit fees, that should be manageable. Rent it out for birthday parties. Search for an upcoming televangalist to lease it to for Sundays. Trampolines: Jump in the Sun Aftercare facility. 3000 3-7 graders hooping and hollering. Car shows every 3rd Saturday Battle of the Bands Venue Any ideas? I'm really hoping USF takes a significant portion of the windfall we are receiving from the defections and uses it to pay down debt. That being said, I don't know how much debt USF Athletics has, but I think it would be smart to reduce it as much as possible. We may be having some long years ahead and having some potentially big bills raking up and needing to be paid may not help us much.

You have not been in Tampa lately have you? Reggaeton concerts would probably be more like it.

USF should be leveraging it up, not paying it down. One caveat, though. Any assets taken on with debt must create their own revenue streams to pay off that debt.
