Big 12 schools are really no futher away than the Big East schools.

BE will have Houston, SMU , Cincy, UConn, Temple  All over 1000 miles away

Big 12 will have Texas Oklahoma, Kansas ect... Not much difference really.

Only main difference (and it's only a matter of time until Bull94 comes on here explaining this in further detail) is that with the Big East, your games are in larger markets - Cincinnati, OH; Hartford, CT, etc.  Now Houston, Dallas, Orlando, etc.

With the B12, you get Manhattan, KS.  You get Iowa.  You get Waco, TX.  You get Stillwater, OK.

Travel to B12 destinations will be costlier and more time consuming as the markets, and therefore airports, are smaller, if you have to fly direct.  Might need to fly to a major city and drive a couple hours to a game, renting a car.

Distance as the crow flies?  Probably about the same, but definitely not apples to apples when it comes to travel to games for fans.

That said, if the B12 offers, we go.  Period.

$30 million in "Sorry our conference imploded" money helps.

Big East payout to remaining football schools USF, Cincy, UConn should be "nearly $30 million" each, @blauds writes.http://ajerseyguy.com/?p=5471

With rumors of B12 considering a USF/UCF package, and a $30m payday coming, I'd say the bad news is taking a break

Not like we are driving to any road games anyway other than UCif.

I say go Big or go home.

And if it did happen, we'd likely be in an eastern division of some kind - or southern.  Texas, Texas Tech, UCF, USF, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State?  I somehow doubt that - they'd probably want Oklahoma and Texas in different divisions.  There'd be no easy geographic division.  WVU, USF, UCF, Iowa State, Baylor, and KU in the East, Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, K-State, and TCU in the West.

I have faith in Willie..and I believe he has the ability to take this program to the national level...

Winning is everything  but it has to be agains qualified opponents.....Easer said than done...most schools are not interested in USF reaching National Prominance..

How  is this done...refuse to play USF and be-little our wins....

IMO Conspiracy theory...True...In 1965 I heard a woman sing in the Village Washington Square NYC.

She was Faboulous...I asked why she was not being recorded by a Studio....Answer..."WE have Judy Collins We do not need another"

OK now look at USF Football...WE are the other singer..Judy Collins is the SEC, BIG 12 etc...This is the problem..This is Corporatye reality...

It will not be easy...and there are no quick fixes...

Go Bulls

You've gotta admit though Trip, it's nice to hear the nation speaking of USF again...even if it IS just a rumor.

Edited that for you ... Remember it was just last week that we were supposedly the talk of the country because of a couple of clerical errors.   ;)
