Data agree 100% about them leaking the name..then seeing how poorly it was received lol.  Back to the drawing board I guess.

I hope they realize that EVERY name they use is going to get made fun of. Why? Because it's the conference that's the problem, not the name. We could trade names with the SEC and in an hour they'd be calling us the SUK and them the BEAST.

My big problem with the name is that it is, to me too reminiscent of C-USA.

Let's forego the 'America(n)' somethingty-something and the obligatory red, white and blue. Sounds like snooty-patootie rendition of CUSA.

Unless of course, you're willing to admit parity and go with something like CUSA 2.0. Metro...I think of REAL cities, NYC, LA, Chicago...not

Temple, Memphis, Central Florida, Southern Methodist and Houston, Tulane and East Carolina and maybe - maybe - Navy. This league 

smells a lot like barbecue, crab cakes and a great big muffaletta.
