I mean the guy really, really wanted to be a Bull. I always liked him for that. Anyway, I was disappointed in how he got so little playing time. I don't know the whole story. My question is this. How can a guy who couldn't get enough minutes on our defense is getting a look at by an NFL team? "Congrats to #USF DE Claude Davis, who has signed a reserve/future contract with the New York Jets." https://twitter.com/gregauman Make us proud, Claude!

Good speed. If he had gotten more playing time I think he would've gotten a look by a 3-4 team. Actually I had thought San Fran was a good candidate to have brought him to camp

When they switched LL to receiver the team was loaded at RB and was using walk-ons at WR, perfectly logical. The RS thing appears to have been incredibly stupid. And don't forget switching our highest rated CB, T-Rex to WR as well. Idiots.

Sometimes they don't work hard in college, then the lightbulb goes on. Sometimes they are just stuck behind other guys. Sometimes it is the coaching staff. Sometimes the kid grows late physically. Usually some combination of all three. There have been backup QBs go on to be starting QBs for a long time in the NFL. Davis would not be the first, nor the last. He's a situational rusher at best in the NFL but on the right team, and given a chance to develop, he could be a 3d down/pass down lineman. Best of luck to Claude. This year we had 1 corner.

This year we had 1 corner. And Mitchell's last two years were cut short by concussion. I'd wager there aren't many 160 lb CBs out there in DI programs. Did you see him play CB?
