Same staff that switch LL  to WR and tried to redshirt him.

And don't forget switching our highest rated CB, T-Rex to WR as well. Idiots.

LOL. I love the coaching quality we have in our posting ranks.

Moving Mitchell was short sighted at best. This year we had 1 corner.

And Mitchell's last two years were cut short by concussion. I'd wager there aren't many 160 lb CBs out there in DI programs.

Did you see him play CB?

Did anyone see him play CB? Wasn't his 2nd year here Holtz's first? They made put him on offense rather quickly.

Also, I wonder if the conditioning is different for a CB as opposed to a WR? You deliver hits a lot more as a defensive player so weight gain, I would think, would be a higher priority.

Bottom line is we ended up needing CBs in a bad way after switching our highest rated CB recruit to WR a couple years prior.

Data,

If your question is did I ever go to a Hillsborough High game and watch hi play DB? The answer is no.

All I know is he was a highly rated DB coming out of high school (#8 and 4 star if memory serves). His true freshman year her was moved to WR. So, USF fans never saw him play a down at his natural position.

Wrong he got playing time his freshman year at cb. Mostly looking lost. Got picked on and burned against cuse in that home game we lost to them that season.

His true freshman year was 2009, Leavitt's last year. I think he was used pretty sparingly but Dozer's right, he had some growing pains that first year at corner. Holtz came in and switched him to WR - his biggest highlight that year was the reverse he scored on in the Pitt game near the end of the year.

No. Terrance Mitchell started his USF career in 2010. He was not a member of USF in 2009.

Ah, just checked gousfbulls, looks like I'm off by a year on everything I said in here. My apologies.

Was the switch to offense for T-Rex a mid year thing? I remember him on offense two Pitt home games ago, which should have been 2010.
