Marianetto was terrible and now Aresco is terrible. Hello! Maybe it isn't everyone that has the job, maybe it is an impossible job.

Seemed that the BE was doing some negotiating with candidates that may have been under contracts elsewhere. I know nothing, just letting everyone know what I heard. He was negotiating new members and a TV deal at the same time... That is a lot of "if and "when" statements to TV partners and [future] members. This conference was doomed even before we got here, as soon as Miami and VTech left its doom was set.

This clown has done nothing positive for the Big East other than watch it implode. We now have 2 teams (TCU & Boise St) that joined the conference to much excitement yet left without ever playing a game. Will there ever be any GOOD NEWS for the Big East? I can't believe USF is still stuck in this joke of a conference. Judy and Doug are sitting around doing nothing!!! i will start off by saying I understand your frustration. However, in my opinion, Aresco was was hired for his expertise in tv negotiations (i.e to bring in the most tv dollars possible to the conference). In hindsight this was short sided because we needed someone more well rounded and experienced in all aspects of running a sports conference. A lot of things occurred that immediately impacted the tv contract negotiations after he arrived, which derailed his position of strength and weakend the conference overall. The people responsible for hiring Aresco, although having good intentions, in hindsight (which is 20/20) were short sighted.
