I think the number being thrown around for the current lineup was $60-80 million per year.

Assuming no BBall teams I figure the TV contract for each team will be worth $3-4million dollars for tier 1&2 , schools keep their own tier 3 like Big 12 since a network probably won't be in pay initially. So for a 12 team ~$36-48 mil and 16 team ~$48-64 mil.

This is because ESPN was willing to give the 7 BBall teams $1.5-2 mil a year, and they will get Big Monday games on 7 pm and ultimately MSG when they break the contract with Big East.

In a 16 team league, can we have a semifinal game or do NCAA rules say otherwise?

What a joke this league is. Now even the catholic schools that we've wanted to split from for years are even too good for us.

If the ACC isnt interested in us, i would actually prefer at this point we request membership in the Catholic 7 and play as a football only in CUSA or something.

I hate this new league. Hate it.

I'm glad you're not the decision maker.

You'd prefer CUSA vs the NBE???

...lol

I can tell you all something if I was a network exec looking at Boise and New Big East, I would make them replace their turf prior to putting them on tv nationally, as that bowl game is unwatchable with that blue, my wife said within 3 minutes it hurts her eyes.

Maybe a package deal with UConn and Cincy and that would be great. Keeping the basketball at nice level and the football won't be that different, with closer away games and an easier path to the Access bowl, if that's even still an option.

I can still see us in a 12-team ACC with 16 for BBall (ND/GTown/SJU/Nova) once all the shuffling is done. Be careful what you wish for, Providence and Seton Hall, as the Hoyas and Johnnies may yet stab you in the back. This isn't over yet.

This is very possible oh how I would love to see Marq and that bald idiot get left out.

I got nothing against Buzz. Remember him dancing to Country Road on the court after beating WVU and the toothless rabble behind the anouncers threating his life during the postgame interview? Priceless! Mike Deane, however, was a whole different story...

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
