at this point why not just merge the BE and CUSA

Because you dont want Marshall, UAB, UTEP, Rice - yet

Next adds would be Tulsa and Southern Miss

Tulane is building a new 30,000 seat stadium on campus...looks alot like UCF's but smaller.

The glazers are funding it. So it's kind of like we're building an on campus stadium. Just at a different campus.

they are actually funding a very small part of it. non disclosed "multi millions" naming the club section after them. there are 2 bigger donors, one of which is the Benson's (saints owners) who is giving $7.5M and Yulmans at $15M

So I'm circuitously funding an on campus stadium on Tulane's campus? Well a small part of one.

I suppose so yes. you could probably say the same for UCF's stadium if you have brighthouse cable. don't they pay UCF for naming rights?

Not sure why everyone is pissy about Tulane... the Big East has been going down this road for a while now and everyone had better brace themselves for the possibility that Southern Piss, Marshall, Troy, Georgia Southern, Tulsa, and Rice may be on the radar now as possible alternatives given the rumors that UL, UConn, Natti, and Navy may be getting invites to the ACC since the ACC is getting targeted by the Big10, and because Boise State and San Diego State might just stay in the MWC.

Being in a pissy Big East full of CUSA teams is better then being in the actual CUSA... at least USF will be the senior member in the Big East and we can hang our hats on the Big Easts past glories.

Also about Tulane... sure they suck, but they will give us a guaranteed road worthy opponent that is within easy driving distance, that will be a sure win, and has a killer part atmosphere on Bourbon Street and awesome food.

I can't wait to go to Tulane and Memphis... guaranteed win, great food, and tons of booze. Its a poor mans SEC.

The next move would be to add a western team such as Fresno. Conference need to get VCU in basketball also.

Tulane has no following, that is LSU country.

Not pleased with them as a addition, but what can the BE do?
