He's a Redshirt Junior, so he has at least one year left. Since his previous redshirt was also medical, they should be able to apply for a sixth year if he's interested.

Keep in mind he watched AJ Love go through this and never really return 100%. A lot depends on the injury and the player. Griffin has worked hard to return before. Hope he makes it back.
