While I think he could help with the TV deal, I am looking more towards what he can do in making sure we stay relevant in the new postseason that starts come 2014. This guy seems to be a good hire when it comes to that.

Why do you think that? I think winning would be the best thing to keep ourselves relevant. Unless he has some ties to keeping an automatic contract with the orange or other top tier bowl.

We're not making that top four every year. We need a bowl with a nice payout to compliment. He could be instrumental in that.

I think is the key to everything. We need to secure that second spot in the OB some way, somehow ...

This is a tremendous statement about the worth and viability of the Big East by someone whose opinion matters. Great usage of the $$$ from WVU/Cuse/Pitt. Can't wait for November and the TV rights announcement.

I doubt that he would have taken the job, if he didn't already know that he would be successful. With his TV background, he's one of the few people with the requisite expertise who could properly evaluate the value of the Big East.
