Face mask is a bit much, but if it helps protect our players then I am all for it.

Is that the helmet for the season?

When you're playing, you actually need to reach into your own mask more than the other player will (especially in the heat of Florida). Leavitt was really a proponent of keeping your helmet on during practice as well. Whether wiping sweat or a bug off your face, blowing out a snot booger, getting a quick shot of water or using a cup to get a quick drink, this mask is way overboard (but I'm just talking from personal experience). I always preferred minimal bars (but I grew up playing QB and I thought the bars got in the way of my vision and depth perception). I guess it might look intimidating if the LB has that mask and Bryce Harper war paint... I'd personally rather keep it simple knowing how often you're reaching for your own face.
