Still the best QB in USF history.

If you like interceptions

Would take him in heartbeat over what we have now and will have over the next two years. Can't argue with the fact he was the BE passing leader for a while and won USF its biggest games. I don't see how any one could argue otherwise. I am not calling him all world by any means, he is just the best in terms of what we have had and will have in the short term future.

Actually, he's the BEast all purpose yards leader. BJ should pass him this year.

BJ has played in as many games as Grothe did in his career. BJ played in a couple of games before he redshirted in his first year and played in the games before Matt got hurt.

Grothe was a great bull but he too made a ton of boneheaded plays over his career at USF and struggled in BE play, just like BJ and USF. USF as a whole has not been impressive at all in conference play.

Best of luck to Matt in whatever future endeavor awaits. I can see him coaching somewhere.

I believe that he was an assistant coach at a Polk county school last year

Yes, he's the QB coach at Lake Gibson in Lakeland... wouldn't surprise me to see him return as a GA at USF at somepoint. He's always wanted to get into coaching.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
