St. John's only needs one win to make the final. ND, like us, needs to win 2 tomorrow.

So if we beat UConn twice tomorrow (eliminating them), we would only need to beat Notre Dame or St Johns once in a winner take all championship game on Sunday. It's one of the biggest problems with the Big East tournament that a one-loss team can beat an undefeated team and still be the champion.

The teams are separated into two brackets and never cross over to the other bracket. The winner of one bracket plays the winner of the other bracket in the championship game. Seems reasonable to me. I see our season ending tonight. But they are beatable, as we showed this season. If we fire on all cylinders we can be a very good team, but that's a big IF. what baseball team isnt beatable? Personally the ACC has the best tournament setup. They take 2 mini-divisions of 4 (essentially what we have) and play round robin. All teams are guaranteed 3 games (rather than the minimum of 2 in double elimination) and the team in each mini-division with the best record moves on the the championship final.
